GM Recalls 3.4 Million Vehicles

General Motors recalled another 3.4 million vehicles on Monday for defective ignition switches.  The recall affects models 2000 to 2014. Some of the models included are Chevrolet Impala, Cadillac Deville and DTS, and the Buick Lacrosse, Lucerne and Regal.

To see if your car is on the list, go to the GM website here and enter your VIN number.

The ignition switch in these vehicles can move out of run position, essentially turning the car off while it is being driven, and lose power steering and power brakes.  Extra weight on the key chain can also cause the ignition to come loose when hitting bumps or potholes.

This recall issue has been linked to 8 crashes and 6 injuries so far.

We want to urge everyone to stay safe so please check if your vehicle is on the recall list and get the issues fixed as soon as possible.
